My name is Connor Douglas and I started Behind the Bench back in February 2020 just before the COVID pandemic began, going into a period of furlough I took the decision so that I could meet like-minded people within the industry that could help me learn new skills while giving me a place to share my knowledge and insights.
I’m currently employed with Fanbase as a Growth Marketer, we are a fan engagement company based in Edinburgh that helps over 180 clubs engage with their fans and digitalise marketing activities using the platform.
Prior to my first role, I studied Marketing with Sports Studies at Stirling University and completed my dissertation on the relationship between marketing activities and green fee prices within the game of golf in North-East Scotland.
Back in 2022 i bought my first camera (A Canon 50D) and took the decision to start sports photography, covering matches where i could to gain as much experience as i could.
Since then i've been fortunate enough to cover matches at all levels from the SWPL to the Champions League with some British Basketball League matches in there as well!
